Wayne Kyle, Senior Partner

Wayne Kyle, a native of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a major in business and marketing. Kyle began his fundraising career in 1976 when he co-founded Woodburn, Kyle & Co. with Peter Woodburn. Kyle's background in marketing and analytical processing brought depth to the fledgling firm. His ability to research a client's need, analyze that need and then articulate successful and realistic solutions has strengthened the firm's ability to serve clients and has enhanced its reputation in the field. Kyle has attended a variety of continuing education programs centered on the planning process for not-for-profits with special emphasis on the relationship of the planning process to philanthropy, governance, an organization's development and the enhancement of the organization's purpose, mission and vision.

Kyle has served on the Jefferson County Historical Society Board, the local Arts Council (MOVAC), and was a founding member of Cornerstone - a historic preservation organization.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the AAFRC's Trust for Philanthropy, publisher of Giving USA, a compilation of fundraising statistics and trends for the United States. Kyle recently chaired the committee for governance review of the Association and led the process to update and revise the organization's by-laws. He has been a panelist numerous times at AAFRC Summer Institute, a program of peer to peer learning.
